ABOUT THE EVENT
WHO IS PLENTY VALLEY REGION?
Plenty Valley Region comprises six Scouting Districts: Banyule, Hume, Merribek-Darebin, Nillumbik, Tilba Tilba, and Whittlesea.  Geographically this stretches from inner city areas like Brunswick all the way to Nagambie, and across from Sunbury in the west to Eltham in the East.  In all we have around 3,500 youth members plus volunteer adult leaders.

Our Region Commissioner (and Camp Chief for Region Gathering 2026) is Tim Purdy.

SAFETY
WHAT IF THERE'S A BUSHFIRE?
Eumeralla Scout Camp is an established and frequently used Scouts Victoria campsite, the risk of bushfire has been carefully considered and plans made in consultations with local authorities.  In the event of a bushfire, we will follow the event Emergency Management Plan.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN
Scouts Victoria regularly holds large scale events with thousands of attendees.  All major events, including this one, have an Emergency Management Plan prepared with input from the local campsite team, local authorities, and the event organising committee, which is then reviewed by the Scouts Victoria state team.

Detailed emergency procedures will be communicated to Leaders prior to the event.
IS THIS A CHILD SAFE EVENT?
Scouts Victoria is a child safe organisation with zero-tolerance for any harm, abuse or neglect. We value the diversity of our members, including gender, sexuality, race, religion and ability.

If you are a young person and need some help, you should talk to a trusted adult or call us on 1800 870 772 and we can be your trusted adult. This call is free from any phone including payphones, prepaid mobile phones and your home phone.
If anyone is in immediate danger, always call 000 first.
If you form a reasonable belief that a young person is at risk of harm or you have concerns for their safety or well-being, please contact the Scouts Victoria Child Safety line on 1800 870 772.

When to report?
  • If a child is at risk of harm or you have concerns for their safety or well-being.
  • If a child discloses sexual, physical, psychological or emotional harm or neglect. This includes if a third person (such as parent or friend) discloses on their behalf.
  • If you have observed harmful behaviour towards a child or seen suspected signs of abuse.
  • If you are not sure if you should report or not. (For example; if you ask the question, should I report it? Then the answer is yes!)
